James Thomas Eagle was born on February 27, 1949, in Middlesboro, Kentucky, to Eugene and Mary-Ruth Eagle. During his childhood he moved around quite a bit, experiencing different places in the United States. Eventually he made his roots in Florida and North Carolina. At the age of 13, Pastor Eagle felt a calling on his life but did not answer the call until his thirties.

He graduated from High School in 1968 and enlisted in the Army shortly thereafter. He remained in the Army until August of 1971. After serving in the Army he enrolled in Southern College in Orlando, Florida, Graduating with an Associates Degree in Business and Accounting in 1973. While working in retail management, he went to Berea Assemblies of God night classes through Berean Bible College. In October of 1985, he moved to Castalia, NC, where he met his wife Geraldine in 1986, the couple then married on April 23, 1988.

Pastor Eagle went through a Ministerial Internship Program with the Church of God Organization and completed on June 3, 1996. Pastor also received from the Church of God Ministerial Internship Program Supervising Pastor, Certificate of Recognition on June 3, 2002. Pastor Eagle has four Doctorate Degrees, He received an Honorary Doctorate of Ministry on November 12, 2000 from Faith that Conquers Theological Seminary. He received his second doctoral degree in Theology at True Light College Biblical Studies on August 26, 2007. The third Doctorate of Ministry was obtained from True Light College of Biblical Studies June 25, 2009. He received a fourth Doctorate of Ministries and Christian Counseling on June 25, 2010. Pastor Tom was awarded Teacher certification from the College of Biblical Studies on June 26, 2010.

Pastor Eagle has served at Jacksonville Church of God as Senior Pastor, Alongside his wife Geraldine, for the past 25 years. Pastor Eagle is passionate about seeing people’s lives changed through the love of Jesus Christ. They are the proud parents of three children, four grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
